Fuels for all

DCC & Shell Aviation Denmark has activities across the country in eight Danish airports and on the Faroe Islands. Additionally, we undertake tasks for airports in Greenland. Here, we deliver conventional jet fuel and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). Furthermore, we provide consulting services, certifications, and manage key components of the aviation fuel infrastructure in collaboration with customers and partners. Below, you can find more detailed information about the fuels we offer customers in Denmark.

Conventional jet fuel — JET A-1

Jet A-1 is a petroleum-based fuel designed for aircrafts with jet engines and is currently the most commonly used aviation fuel. This fuel has a flash point minimum of 38°C (100°F) and a maximum freeze point of -47°C. The key specifications of Jet A-1 include the UK specification DEF STAN 91-91 (Jet A-1), Nato code F-35 (formerly DERD 2494), and the ASTM specification D1655 (Jet A-1). While Jet A-1 is predominantly used in aircraft equipped with jet engines, it is also suitable for use in compatible aircraft with diesel engines.

If you want to know more about the Jet A-1, please find the Shell Product Catalogue here. This catalogue contains additional details about the product as well as its Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Payment and price for private Jet A-1 customers
Private aircraft owners not recognized as an international airline will be billed Danish VAT.

SAF

SAF, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, is a synthetic aviation fuel derived from waste biomass, such as used cooking oil. SAF can be used directly in the entire global fleet of aircraft without the need of technical adjustments and is also known as Synthetic Parafinic Kerosene (SPK). SAF has yet to be approved by engine manufacturers as a stand-alone jetfuel. Consequently, SAF is categorized as a drop-in fuel since its limited blending ratio subject SAF to be mixed with conventional JET A-1 by up to a 50% ratio. Read more about SAF here.
